Julio Vera made an important save on a dangerous shot by Apalasuka Moco in the 2nd minute. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Ignacio Quintun tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 8th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ignacio Quintun saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ignacio Quintun didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Felix Montenegro went, in the 11th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Hurboc's Ignacio Quintun played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 18th minute of play. Cristian Sancho might have been able to make a better finish in the 20th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ignacio Quintun. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cristian Sancho ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 22nd minute Apalasuka Moco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Antonio Arias got a free kick in the 23rd minute. Selami Baycans short, quick shot in the 26thth minute got Julio Vera to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Luis Andino kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristian Sancho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ignacio Quintun breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Apalasuka Moco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 38 minutes into the match, Hurboc's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Ignacio Quintun reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Julio Vera came out of the goal in the 44th minute to try and stop a shot by Hurboc's Apalasuka Moco. But to his dismay, Apalasuka Moco quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. 47 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Apalasuka Moco came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Apalasuka Moco in the 89th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 91st match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Daniel Zorita to maneuver through the defense. The Hurboc fans' excitement grew in the 93rd match minute when Hurboc's Apalasuka Moco looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 5-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Hurboc were victorious despite being under pressure from Ecuador for much of the match.
