Ernesto Maio made in the 6th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Fabrizio Minicucci however managed to control. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Edmundo Espiga in the 8th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Aldo Mazzetti saved TRANSILVANIA from getting behind. Sebastian Villa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 14 minutes into the game, Sebastian Villa recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Aldo Mazzetti. Sebastian Villa showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. 20 minutes into the match, TRANSILVANIA's goalkeeper Aldo Mazzetti had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Edmundo Espiga. Lautaro Navarro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Felice Mian in the 26th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Felice Mian in the 27th minute of play forced Honduras's goalkeeper Lautaro Navarro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 29th minute, Ernesto Maio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Edmundo Espiga was extremely unlucky when he, in the 36th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. When the match clock showed 38 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Edmundo Espiga sped through TRANSILVANIA's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Aldo Mazzetti. In the 41st minute, Edmundo Espiga ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Aldo Mazzetti was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. 47 minutes into the match, Honduras's goal looked a bit too open when Fabrizio Minicucci came free, but Lautaro Navarro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Fabrizio Minicucci was the one to do the kick off. The corner went over the outstretched arms of TRANSILVANIA's goalie and right to Esteban Carvallo. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. TRANSILVANIA's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. In the 57thth minute of the game Edmundo Espiga who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but TRANSILVANIA's Aldo Mazzetti was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Moises Tafalla sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to TRANSILVANIA getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Bruno Rocchi hit a great ball. Sebastian Villa struck a weak shot in the 67th minute. Aldo Mazzetti didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Honduras. Aldo Mazzetti made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sebastian Villa in the 71st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edmundo Espiga in the 72nd minute of play forced TRANSILVANIA's goalkeeper Aldo Mazzetti to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aldo Mazzetti showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edmundo Espiga in the 74th minute of the match. Aldo Mazzetti didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Christian Sancho went, in the 77th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. After 82 minutes of play, Honduras's Edmundo Espiga made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Aldo Mazzetti was left in no man's land by his defense there! Edmundo Espiga struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. Aldo Mazzetti didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Honduras. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sebastian Villa in the 91st minute of play forced TRANSILVANIA's goalkeeper Aldo Mazzetti to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Honduras booed when TRANSILVANIA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aldo Vasco didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Moises Tafalla came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the Honduras fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Moises Tafalla couldn't finish the play. There was no doubt that Honduras were the better team. Honduras's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
