In the 6th minute the ball was on its way in behind Viejo Lobo De Mar's goalkeeper Gregorio Etxatxu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 13 minutes into the match, Edmundo Espiga had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gregorio Etxatxu. Viejo Lobo De Mar's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Edmundo Espiga was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Edmundo Espiga could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 17th minute of the match, but Gregorio Etxatxu made a huge save. When Edmundo Espiga came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Honduras fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edmundo Espiga couldn't finish the play. Honduras's Lautaro Navarro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aquilino Garaile in the 21st minute of play. Robustiano Raymon hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. The supporters of Honduras booed when Viejo Lobo De Mar was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Robustiano Raymon didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 25 played minutes Edmundo Espiga shot from long distance. At first the shot seemed to be simple for Viejo Lobo De Mar's Gregorio Etxatxu to catch but Edmundo Espiga was lucky. It became 2-0 after the goalkeeper had been careless and dropped the ball into goal. 31 minutes into the match, Edmundo Espiga dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Gregorio Etxatxu, 3-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Edmundo Espiga got free with Gregorio Etxatxu in the 34th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Esteban Carvallo took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 35th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Gregorio Etxatxu. Viejo Lobo De Mar's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 39th minute, Sebastian Villa left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Honduras fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. When the match clock showed 45 minutes, the score became 5-0 when Edmundo Espiga sped through Viejo Lobo De Mar's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Gregorio Etxatxu. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 5-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Edmundo Espiga to strike the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Edmundo Espiga in the 53rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gregorio Etxatxu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Sebastian Villa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Edmundo Espiga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gregorio Etxatxu having to interfere. Silverio Montez hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. In the 62nd minute, Moises Tafalla left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Honduras fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-0. 65 minutes into the match, Viejo Lobo De Mar's goal looked a bit too open when Sebastian Villa came free, but Gregorio Etxatxu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 67 minutes into the game, Honduras's Moises Tafalla nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gregorio Etxatxu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 7-0. Silverio Montez's late challenge caught a Honduras's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Silverio Montez helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Viejo Lobo De Mar's Silverio Montez got a free kick in the 70th minute. Gregorio Etxatxu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Edmundo Espiga's shot from short distance in the 72nd minute. Edmundo Espiga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Edmundo Espiga in the 80th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gregorio Etxatxu saved Viejo Lobo De Mar from getting behind. Luca Espinar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gregorio Etxatxu having to interfere. Gregorio Etxatxu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edmundo Espiga, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. 94 minutes into the match, Viejo Lobo De Mar's goal looked a bit too open when Edmundo Espiga came free, but Gregorio Etxatxu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Honduras had played much better football throughout.
