Daniel Brasil fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. In the 10th minute Rafael Sobis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nilson do Vale took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Illescas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 14 minutes had been played when some careless play by Bandelocos's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Tomas Illescas was slow to take the kick. During this time Venezuela's players had a chance to rest. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rafael Sobis in the 16th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 19th minute, Venezuela's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Daniel Brasil fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Rafael Sobis could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 20th minute of the match, but Jonathan Ferrant made a huge save. When Patricio Costa came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the Venezuela fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Patricio Costa couldn't finish the play. Bandelocos's Billy Dowdall got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rafael Sobis could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 35th minute of the match, but Jonathan Ferrant made a huge save. When Bandelocos's Rafael Sobis in the 37th minute got a chance for a shot 37th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Venezuela's goalie prevented a goal. With a little luck, Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant got control of the ball when Rafael Sobis tried to sneak it across the goal line.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tomas Illescas was the one to do the kick off. The audience was convinced that Rafael Sobis's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jonathan Ferrant was relentless in the 67th minute of the game. Jonathan Ferrant stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rafael Sobis's shot from short distance in the 69th minute. Tomas Illescas struck a weak shot in the 72nd minute. Nilson do Vale didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Venezuela. In the 74th minute, Rafael Sobis ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonathan Ferrant was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. In the 77th minute Daniel Brasil shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 80thth minute of the game Rafael Sobis who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 82 minutes into the game, Bandelocos's Rafael Sobis nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jonathan Ferrant made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. 90 minutes into the match, Bandelocos's Natã dos Santos sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jonathan Ferrant narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpected shot in the 96th minute by Tomas Illescas got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. There was no doubt that Bandelocos were the better team. Bandelocos's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
