Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Alvaro Alvarado started the match with the kick off. When Odir Botello came up free with the goalie in the 3rd minute, the Carterton fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Odir Botello couldn't finish the play. Hugo Chavez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alvaro Alvarado in the 4th minute of play. If Avilio Carrillo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Avilio Carrillo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Avilio Carrillo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rony Barraza was relentless in the 16th minute of the game. Avilio Carrillo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rony Barraza having to interfere. 24 minutes into the match, Carterton's goal looked a bit too open when Patricio Arango came free, but Rony Barraza reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rony Barraza came out of the goal in the 27th minute to try and stop a shot by Hayle's Avilio Carrillo. But to his dismay, Avilio Carrillo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Carterton's Rony Barraza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Avilio Carrillo in the 32nd minute of play. In the 32nd minute, Avilio Carrillo made a precise shot to the right of Rony Barraza. Carterton's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. A collision led to Carterton getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Alvaro Alvarado hit a great ball. Hugo Chavez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alvaro Alvarado in the 38th minute of play. Danilo Cruz kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Patricio Arango in the 46th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rony Barraza saved Carterton from getting behind. In the 48th match minute, Hayle was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Francisco Palma to maneuver through the defense. After the first half Hayle were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Patricio Arango to make the kick off. In the 54th match minute, Hayle was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sarbelio Bran to maneuver through the defense. David Peredes hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. Rony Barraza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Patricio Arango in the 67th minute of play. 69 minutes into the game, Odir Botello cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Hugo Chavez was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 73 minutes, Danilo Cruz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Carterton and the Hayle players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Carterton getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Danilo Cruz hit a great ball. In the 78th match minute, Carterton was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by David Peredes to maneuver through the defense. Patricio Arango fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rony Barraza having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Patricio Arango in the 85th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rony Barraza saved Carterton from getting behind. Avilio Carrillo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Rony Barraza tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 89th minute, Alonso Magaña hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 92 minutes into the match, Hayle's goal looked a bit too open when Alvaro Alvarado came free, but Hugo Chavez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Odir Botello received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Hugo Chavez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alvaro Alvarado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hugo Chavez having to interfere. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Hayle walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
