David Uranga showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alfredo Del Cid in the 12th minute of the match. Fabio Magaña fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without David Uranga having to interfere. If Fabio Magaña had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alfredo Del Cid sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 30 minutes into the game, Andrés Giron was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. East Grinstead AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Prestwich City the free kick. In a very dangerous position, a player in East Grinstead AFC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 29th minute. Penalty! Orlando Tobar went to the wrong direction when Richard Fernandez was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. 34 minutes into the match, East Grinstead AFC's Fabio Magaña sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that David Uranga narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Prestwich City's Odir Ocampo got a free kick in the 36th minute. Christian Barreto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. David Uranga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. David Uranga took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Christian Barreto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Antonio Melendez struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. David Uranga didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for East Grinstead AFC. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Efren Coria made a kick off. If Cristian Lozano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Christian Barreto hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. A collision led to Prestwich City getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Edgardo Fernandez hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, East Grinstead AFC's Christian Barreto got a free kick in the 66th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edgardo Fernandez in the 69th minute of play forced East Grinstead AFC's goalkeeper Orlando Tobar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. David Uranga took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alfredo Del Cid, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 84 minutes, Alfredo Del Cid managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. East Grinstead AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alfredo Del Cid was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Odir Ocampo took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 90th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Orlando Tobar. East Grinstead AFC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Fabio Magaña blasted a shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without David Uranga having to make a save. Daniel Machado kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. When the match was over East Grinstead AFC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Prestwich City throughout the match.
