After 9 minutes, Humberto Walme mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Quimilí AFC and the Zuberbühler AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Quimilí AFC's Humberto Walme got a free kick in the 10th minute. Zuberbühler AFC's Arnoldo Ponciano shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 10th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Ambrosio Jesco but with some difficulty. After some fancy dribbling in the 12th minute, Hipolito Raphael managed to get in a good position for a shot. Zuberbühler AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Hipolito Raphael was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ambrosio Jesco breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Fidel Moise received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Vinicio Ted tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 22nd match minute, Zuberbühler AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rolando Alvarez to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Quimilí AFC booed when Zuberbühler AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bernabe Baldovino didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vinicio Ted showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aaron Ramond, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. In the 29th minute Fidel Moise shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vinicio Ted saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pastor Laurgain hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. Zuberbühler AFC's Vinicio Ted played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fidel Moise in the 49th minute of play. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Eleuterio Bastiaro made a kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Aaron Ramond managed to get in a good position for a shot. Quimilí AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Aaron Ramond was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vinicio Ted breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Isidoro Macias took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 58th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Vinicio Ted. Zuberbühler AFC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Fidel Moise received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Vinicio Ted tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Zuberbühler AFC's Bernabe Baldovino got his second yellow card of the match in the 69th minute. The referee ordered Bernabe Baldovino off the ground. Bernabe Baldovino hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. In the 71st minute, Lucio Jaizki sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Zuberbühler AFC's Vinicio Ted didn't even have to move. Zuberbühler AFC's Vinicio Ted played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aaron Ramond in the 74th minute of play. Hipolito Raphael blasted a shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ambrosio Jesco having to make a save. Ambrosio Jesco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hipolito Raphael, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 81 minutes into the match, Quimilí AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Hipolito Raphael came free, but Ambrosio Jesco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fidel Moise fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vinicio Ted having to interfere. The Quimilí AFC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Quimilí AFC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
