In the 17th minute the ball was on its way in behind Chalacea's goalkeeper Gilberto Jerico, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Alvaro Malvin's late challenge caught a Chalacea's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alvaro Malvin helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Trancas AFC getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Luciano Ekaitz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gustavo Ostargi in the 27th minute of play. In the 28th minute, Mauro Elija got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rafael Gipuzkoa during the 35th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Trancas AFC booed when Chalacea was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rafael Gipuzkoa didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gustavo Ostargi made a kick off. If Mauro Elija had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gustavo Ostargi in the 57th minute of play forced Trancas AFC's goalkeeper Luciano Ekaitz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gilberto Jerico stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Silvano Lluciano's shot from short distance in the 58th minute. If Gustavo Ostargi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
