The supporters of Castex FC booed when Pomona FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gervasio Montae didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Hector Tome had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 42nd minute, Joaquin Ponciano fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Lázaro Dominix, passed just outside the right post. Freddy Paul took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arsenio Firmin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rodrigo Oto got free with Lázaro Dominix in the 47th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Arsenio Firmin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead.

Pomona FC's Rodrigo Oto got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Pomona FC's Joaquin Ponciano managed to work through Castex FC's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Joaquin Ponciano dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. 65 minutes into the match, Pomona FC's goal looked a bit too open when Hector Tome came free, but Freddy Paul reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Arsenio Firmin in the 66thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Ruperto Oliviero's late challenge caught a Pomona FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ruperto Oliviero helped the player get up and apologised. Arsenio Firmin's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Freddy Paul read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 89th minute of play. Lázaro Dominix showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joaquin Ponciano in the 91st minute of the match. A hard shot 99 in the game by Arsenio Firmin from a close distance when the talented Freddy Paul managed to make a qualified save. Pomona FC's players were relieved. Pomona FC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Castex FC for a fine match.
