Maximiliano Sancho didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ovara. In the 10th minute, one of Garuhapé AFC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Garuhapé AFC. The referee gave Ovara a penalty, 13 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Vladimiro Vasco, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Garuhapé AFC's Maximiliano Sancho. 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emiliano Guillelmus in the 16th minute of play forced Garuhapé AFC's goalkeeper Maximiliano Sancho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Narciso Ubarna fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Apolo Teofilio having to interfere. Ovara's Apolo Teofilio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Narciso Ubarna in the 20th minute of play. Maximiliano Sancho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emiliano Guillelmus, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jorge Igon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maximiliano Sancho having to interfere. After 33 minutes of play, Ovara's Jorge Igon made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Maximiliano Sancho was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Narciso Ubarna in the 41st minute of play forced Ovara's goalkeeper Apolo Teofilio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Narciso Ubarna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Emiliano Guillelmus made a kick off. 63 minutes into the match, Garuhapé AFC's Gregorio Baraquiel sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Apolo Teofilio narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Ovara's Apolo Teofilio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 65th minute of the match, managed to save Ovara from getting a goal against them. After some careless play in the Garuhapé AFC defense, Emiliano Guillelmus kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Maximiliano Sancho. The Garuhapé AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Maximiliano Sancho should have stopped the shot. A hard shot by Fabian Bittor from long distance, 76 minutes into the match, got Apolo Teofilio's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. 90 minutes into the match, Garuhapé AFC's Narciso Ubarna sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Apolo Teofilio narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Ovara's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
