An unexpectedly hard shot by Felipe Fonso in the 17th minute of play forced Iraola's goalkeeper Adrian Lohitzun to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Teobaldo Abarca sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Adrian Lohitzun showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Felipe Fonso, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. In the 38th minute Teobaldo Abarca shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Isidro Orland saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nereo Beremundo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 46th minute of the match, but Adrian Lohitzun made a huge save. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

If Felipe Fonso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
