With a little luck, Vizcarra's Cornelio Domiku got control of the ball when Tomás Mouricio tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 17th minute, Tomás Mouricio fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Cornelio Domiku, passed just outside the right post. Albano Macario kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. Enrique Maurino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Celso Tallia having to interfere. Despite this Cornelio Domiku quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The supporters of Herradura booed when Vizcarra was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alvaro Hanni didn't get a good kick on the ball. Aristides Pepillo succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 37th playminute. Tomás Mouricio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Vizcarra's zone, Tomás Mouricio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cornelio Domiku came out of the goal and Tomás Mouricio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Enrique Maurino fell near the penalty area in the 48th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Vizcarra's protests and gave Enrique Maurino a yellow card for diving instead. Enrique Maurino hit a great freekick 48 minutes into the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Leonel Paublo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 56th minute, Joaquin Aznar made a precise shot to the right of Cornelio Domiku. Vizcarra's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. In the 66th minute, Aristides Pepillo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Cornelio Domiku took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Haroldo Brion, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Enrique Maurino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
