Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Norberto Sandaili got the match started through his kick off. Maximino Vitin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Astor Ubelteso, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. Maximino Vitin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Astor Ubelteso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. It seemed to be an obvious goal in the 22nd minute, but Evaristo Cordarryl got his fingers on the ball or the save, leaving Piñero FC hanging dry this time. Mariano Lauren could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 23rd minute of the match, but Evaristo Cordarryl made a huge save. If Mariano Lauren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Atahualpa's Norberto Sandaili got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 29 played minutes Piñero FC got a freekick which was hit by Honorato Theodore. Astor Ubelteso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maximino Vitin having to interfere. When Victor Gartzen fell near the penalty area in the 44th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Atahualpa's protests and gave Victor Gartzen a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Atahualpa's Victor Gartzen got a free kick in the 44th minute. Piñero FC were awarded a corner in the 47th minute after Atahualpa's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Felipe Gagriel took the corner. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The corner ended in Felipe Gagriel almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Atahualpa's Maximino Vitin did a great save. In the 57th minute of the match Artemio Santiago sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Maximino Vitin skillfully saved the ball. After a rather tough play, Atahualpa's Santo Demesio got a free kick in the 57th minute. The Piñero FC fans' excitement grew in the 63rd match minute when Piñero FC's Hilario Esiquio looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The supporters of Piñero FC booed when Atahualpa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bartolo Karmel didn't get a good kick on the ball. Evaristo Cordarryl made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Norberto Sandaili in the 70th minute of play. In the 74th minute the ball was on its way in behind Atahualpa's goalkeeper Maximino Vitin, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Mariano Lauren fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Evaristo Cordarryl having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Astor Ubelteso during the 79th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 79th minute, Astor Ubelteso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Honorato Theodore charged in rather forcefully in the 80th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Honorato Theodore the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Atahualpa booed when Piñero FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Honorato Theodore didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hilario Esiquio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Maximino Vitin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Maximino Vitin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Astor Ubelteso in the 91st minute of the match. If Mariano Lauren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
