After 5 minutes of play, Popoy's Jeremias Resto made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Maximino Vitin was left in no man's land by his defense there! Norberto Sandaili received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Silvestre Ibar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 14th minute, Ermegildo Raulo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Maximino Vitin was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. Norberto Sandaili fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Silvestre Ibar having to interfere. With an all-out effort, Popoy's Maximino Vitin threw himself towards the right post 27 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Ermegildo Raulo, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Ermegildo Raulo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maximino Vitin having to interfere. With his leg Maximino Vitin managed to avoid a goal in the 32ndth minute, when Popoy's Jeremias Resto fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Maximino Vitin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ermegildo Raulo, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. Jeremias Resto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maximino Vitin having to interfere. In the 38th match minute, Atahualpa was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Victor Gartzen to maneuver through the defense. Norberto Sandaili's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Silvestre Ibar read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 42nd minute of play. In the 45th minute, Mariano Lauren got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Norberto Sandaili stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Silvestre Ibar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Norberto Sandaili in the 60th minute of play. Mariano Lauren's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Silvestre Ibar read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 64th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Jeremias Resto's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Maximino Vitin was relentless in the 66th minute of the game. In the 66th minute, Santo Demesio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 71 minutes into the game, Ermegildo Raulo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Maximino Vitin was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 75 minutes into the match, Popoy's goalkeeper Silvestre Ibar had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mariano Lauren. Ermegildo Raulo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Jeremias Resto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Maximino Vitin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 89 minutes, Ermegildo Raulo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Popoy's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ermegildo Raulo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jeremias Resto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Atahualpa getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Santo Demesio hit a great ball. Maximino Vitin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jeremias Resto in the 94th minute of the match. Ermegildo Raulo struck a weak shot in the 97th minute. Maximino Vitin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Popoy. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Popoy had won after a very even match.
