Primitivo Ricart was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Jairo Nataniel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Raul Roland in the 24th minute of play. If Jesus Gartzea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The supporters of Ninalquín booed when Mariño AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Artemio Sanduru didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jairo Nataniel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Raul Roland in the 41st minute of play. Raul Roland scored 1-1 in the 49th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jairo Nataniel, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

After having played for 59 minutes, Saturnino Xacintu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mariño AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Saturnino Xacintu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 63rd minute, Saturnino Xacintu made a precise shot to the right of Primitivo Ricart. Ninalquín's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. Anibal Iban recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Honorio Socorro during the 78th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 78th minute, Honorio Socorro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 81 minutes, Artemio Sanduru managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ninalquín's Primitivo Ricart played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Artemio Sanduru in the 92nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Artemio Sanduru in the 94th minute of play forced Ninalquín's goalkeeper Primitivo Ricart to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Saturnino Xacintu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 98th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Primitivo Ricart having to make a save.
