Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Santiago Rojelio took the kick off in the first half of the match. Herminio Loco acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 3rd minute, took the ball on the long shot from Ivan Lixandro. Erubiel Cayo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paulo Sandalio in the 5th minute of the match. Erubiel Cayo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Santiago Rojelio, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paulo Sandalio in the 10th minute of play forced Fortuna AFC's goalkeeper Erubiel Cayo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 12 minutes into the game, Paulo Sandalio cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Erubiel Cayo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 15th minute Octavio Reyes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Herminio Loco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Octavio Reyes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ildefonso Ostots's late challenge caught a Fortuna AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ildefonso Ostots helped the player get up and apologised. After 30 played minutes Tala got a freekick which was hit by Ildefonso Ostots. Severiano Resto, 31 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Elias Abilio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Herminio Loco having to interfere. After having played for 37 minutes, Octavio Reyes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fortuna AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Octavio Reyes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Octavio Reyes, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 40 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Herminio Loco was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Herminio Loco made an important save on a dangerous shot by Elias Abilio in the 45th minute. In the 46th minute, Augusto Oliverios hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Octavio Reyes made the kick off in the second half. In the 62nd minute Octavio Reyes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Herminio Loco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Octavio Reyes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Herminio Loco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ramon Leoiar charged in rather forcefully in the 65th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ramon Leoiar the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 66th minute, Ramon Leoiar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Octavio Reyes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Santiago Rojelio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 85th minute, Santiago Rojelio fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Erubiel Cayo, passed just outside the right post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Paulo Sandalio got free with Erubiel Cayo in the 89th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The Tala supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Tala would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
