The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Nereo Nikola fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jorge Reynardo having to interfere. In the 6thth minute of the game Emilio Jobo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Polvaredas's Jorge Reynardo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Rafael Gamus had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Israel Sarracino made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cosme Kepa in the 11th minute. Rafael Gamus fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Israel Sarracino having to interfere. When Emilio Jobo came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Cobo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Emilio Jobo couldn't finish the play. Emilio Jobo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rafael Gamus blasted a shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Israel Sarracino having to make a save. In the 38th minute, Cosme Kepa made a precise shot to the right of Israel Sarracino. Cobo's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Cosme Kepa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Israel Sarracino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Nereo Nikola was the one to do the kick off. Cosme Kepa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Israel Sarracino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 54th minute Rafael Gamus shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Israel Sarracino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Mauricio Dantel fell near the penalty area in the 61st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cobo's protests and gave Mauricio Dantel a yellow card for diving instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cosme Kepa in the 64th minute of play forced Cobo's goalkeeper Israel Sarracino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Laureano Felo charged in rather forcefully in the 67th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Laureano Felo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Polvaredas getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Laureano Felo hit a great ball. When the match had gone on for 74 minutes, Nereo Nikola took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Jorge Reynardo to make any attempt to save it. In the 77th minute of the match Armando Bero sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jorge Reynardo skillfully saved the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nereo Nikola in the 84th minute of play forced Polvaredas's goalkeeper Jorge Reynardo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 85th match minute, Polvaredas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Romulo Bazkoare to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nereo Nikola in the 87th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jorge Reynardo saved Polvaredas from getting behind. Rafael Gamus received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Israel Sarracino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nereo Nikola was extremely unlucky when he, in the 96th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. 97 minutes into the match, Cobo's Emilio Jobo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jorge Reynardo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 99th minute Cosme Kepa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Israel Sarracino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
