Machigasta's Ruperto Cordearo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Saverio Xacintu in the 13th minute of play. After some careless play in the Machigasta defense, Saverio Xacintu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ruperto Cordearo. The Machigasta fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ruperto Cordearo should have stopped the shot. 17 minutes into the game, Isaias Gervaso was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Realicó's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Machigasta the free kick. The audience was convinced that Alfredo Cresitobalo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fernando Florinio was relentless in the 18th minute of the game. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Eulalio Mendiko to make the kick off. The crowd rose to their feet as Realicó's Eulalio Mendiko slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ruperto Cordearo. That made the score 0-3 after 52 minutes of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Eulalio Mendiko managed to get in a good position for a shot. Realicó's supporters rose to their feet, but Eulalio Mendiko was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ruperto Cordearo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ruperto Cordearo didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 69th minute, which inside left pole to 0-4. After some careless play in the Realicó defense, Alfredo Cresitobalo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fernando Florinio. The Realicó fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fernando Florinio should have stopped the shot. Teodosio Dino took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 97th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Fernando Florinio. Realicó's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. When the match was over Realicó could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Machigasta throughout the match.
