Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Chicligasta's Leo Mercurio started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Leopoldo Cloyo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aristides Lauaxeta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rene Dolcet received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. David Rozarius tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alvear's supporters crossed their fingers, but Arnoldo Itzaina was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 45 minutes into the match, Chicligasta's goal looked a bit too open when Aristides Lauaxeta came free, but Leopoldo Cloyo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 45 played minutes Chicligasta got a freekick which was hit by Andres Martino.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Arnoldo Itzaina was the one to do the kick off. When Aristides Lauaxeta came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Alvear fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aristides Lauaxeta couldn't finish the play. The audience was convinced that Rene Dolcet's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but David Rozarius was relentless in the 86th minute of the game. After 87 played minutes Alvear got a freekick which was hit by Emiliano Harri. Alvear's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
