The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 4 minutes into the match, Rahuecó's goal looked a bit too open when Laureano Quinton came free, but Prudencio Niguel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Ramon Inge had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Jeronimo Marcones was out of position in the 17 minute of play, and Alfonso Jago capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Alfonso Jago really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. If Alfonso Jago had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alfonso Jago received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Jeronimo Marcones tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Rahuecó booed when Nacimiento AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Laureano Quinton didn't get a good kick on the ball. Laureano Quinton's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Prudencio Niguel read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 31st minute of play. 38 minutes into the match, Rahuecó's goal looked a bit too open when Laureano Quinton came free, but Prudencio Niguel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Rahuecó's Damian Fagondo got a free kick in the 39th minute. Ramon Inge struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Jeronimo Marcones showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alfonso Jago in the 43rd minute of the match. Efrain Tercero scored 2-0 in the 46th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jeronimo Marcones, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ramon Inge to make the kick off. Prudencio Niguel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Laureano Quinton, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 54th minute, Rahuecó's Christian Fernanco seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Christian Fernanco the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Rahuecó protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Christian Fernanco had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After 54 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Rahuecó! Anastasio Cidro's late challenge caught a Rahuecó's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Anastasio Cidro helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Nacimiento AFC getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Anastasio Cidro hit a great ball. Efrain Tercero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nacimiento AFC's Jeronimo Marcones played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lucas Roano in the 67th minute of play. If Efrain Tercero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Efrain Tercero received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Jeronimo Marcones tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Efrain Tercero in the 91st minute of play forced Nacimiento AFC's goalkeeper Jeronimo Marcones to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Nacimiento AFC's zone, Efrain Tercero stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jeronimo Marcones came out of the goal and Efrain Tercero tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Laureano Quinton in the 96thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Prudencio Niguel, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Efrain Tercero received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 98th minute. Jeronimo Marcones tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. For all the effort they put into the match, the Nacimiento AFC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Rahuecó.
