Viclos's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Guaberto Txatxu ran over to the corner to take the kick. Guaberto Txatxu made a great header on Cayastacito FC's corner, it was just that Viclos's Camilo Florin managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 6th minute Leonides Emesto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Celestino Cordero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Cayastacito FC's Blas Criston got a free kick in the 10th minute. Viclos's Camilo Florin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 12th minute of the match, managed to save Viclos from getting a goal against them. Leonides Emesto succeeded in the game's 16th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-1. In the 19th minute the ball was on its way in behind Viclos's goalkeeper Camilo Florin, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Remigio Monico fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Celestino Cordero having to interfere. Celestino Cordero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Remigio Monico in the 22nd minute of play. Silvio Lando sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 30 played minutes Viclos got a freekick which was hit by Celestino Paz. 31 minutes into the game, Roberto Taurino was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cayastacito FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Viclos the free kick. In the 31st minute, Roberto Taurino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Leonides Emesto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 36 minutes into the match, Viclos's goalkeeper Camilo Florin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mariano Tavio. If Remigio Monico had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Leonides Emesto was the one to do the kick off. Remigio Monico struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Celestino Cordero didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Viclos. In the 60th minute, Aquilino Viator hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Remigio Monico had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Silvio Lando received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Camilo Florin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mariano Tavio kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. Mariano Tavio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Camilo Florin having to interfere. 77 minutes into the match, Silvio Lando had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Camilo Florin. Viclos's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Silvio Lando was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Viclos's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
