The referee showed Patricio Merexildo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 2 played minutes Manantiales got a freekick which was hit by Patricio Merexildo. Aldo Lehen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alfonso Vasco in the 14th minute of play forced Deseado's goalkeeper Higinio Leheren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 16 played minutes, Manantiales's Nestor Chumo shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Higinio Leheren came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Manantiales reached it. Victorio Nabar kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. Patricio Merexildo got his second yellow card in the match during the 18th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 18th match minute, Manantiales was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Patricio Merexildo to maneuver through the defense. Aldo Lehen's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Higinio Leheren read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 28th minute of play. Bernabe Lon's late challenge caught a Manantiales's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. The referee ignored Deseado's protests and gave Bruno Cebrian a yellow card for diving instead. In the 35th match minute, Deseado was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bruno Cebrian to maneuver through the defense. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Aldo Lehen to make the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 73rd minute, Augusto Gau managed to get in a good position for a shot. Deseado's supporters rose to their feet, but Augusto Gau was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ernesto Artal breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Manantiales getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Eleuterio Cordeiro hit a great ball. 75 minutes into the match, Manantiales's goal looked a bit too open when Augusto Gau came free, but Ernesto Artal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 77th minute Aldo Lehen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Higinio Leheren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bartolo Goito got free with Ernesto Artal in the 87th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Deseado booed when Manantiales was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alfonso Vasco didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ernesto Artal made a fantastic save in the 93rd minute, when Bartolo Goito sent off a good shot on target. The referee felt a red card was in order, 96 minutes into the game, when Roberto Iliana put in a rough tackle. 96 minutes into the game, one of Manantiales:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
