But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Zeledon Sustrai couldn't finish the play. After 19 played minutes, Ferri AFC's Lucas Petri shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Celedonio Reno came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Ferri AFC reached it. In the 19th match minute, Lagunita was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Manuel Gomez to maneuver through the defense. Romeo Bieito recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 33rd minute Marcelino Chago shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Celedonio Reno saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 39 minutes, Romeo Bieito managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ferri AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Romeo Bieito was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Ferri AFC booed when Lagunita was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Freddy Francis didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lagunita's Celedonio Reno proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 55th minute of the match, managed to save Lagunita from getting a goal against them. If Romeo Bieito had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match had gone on for 63 minutes, Marcelino Chago took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Celedonio Reno to make any attempt to save it. After some careless play in the Ferri AFC defense, Adan Matia kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Eustaquio Paul. The Ferri AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Eustaquio Paul should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zeledon Sustrai in the 73rd minute of play forced Ferri AFC's goalkeeper Eustaquio Paul to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Celedonio Reno came out of the goal in the 75th minute to try and stop a shot by Ferri AFC's Romeo Bieito. But to his dismay, Romeo Bieito quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. After having played for 78 minutes, Romeo Bieito managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ferri AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Romeo Bieito was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcelino Chago in the 80th minute of play forced Lagunita's goalkeeper Celedonio Reno to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Adan Matia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 83 minutes into the match, Ferri AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Zeledon Sustrai came free, but Eustaquio Paul reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Celedonio Reno took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcelino Chago, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Zeledon Sustrai's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Eustaquio Paul read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 88th minute of play. If Zeledon Sustrai had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Zeledon Sustrai received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Eustaquio Paul tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
