Eloy Carlomagno received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Orlando Kiliz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Esther's Horacio Noe got a free kick in the 5th minute. Eloy Carlomagno sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 12th minute, Horacio Noe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After recieving a nice pass, Toba's Tiburcio Bastia tried to score from far away in the 13th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Edgardo Xacintu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Bartolo Blai tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A hard shot 19 in the game by Denis Gombal from a close distance when the talented Bartolo Blai managed to make a qualified save. Toba's players were relieved. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edgardo Xacintu in the 20th minute of play forced Toba's goalkeeper Bartolo Blai to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 22nd minute, Eloy Carlomagno left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Toba fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Denis Gombal got free with Bartolo Blai in the 25th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Marcelino Abecia charged in rather forcefully in the 26th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Marcelino Abecia the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Toba getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Marcelino Abecia hit a great ball. In the 30th minute Edgardo Xacintu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bartolo Blai saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When David Havier fell near the penalty area in the 32nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Esther's protests and gave David Havier a yellow card for diving instead. David Havier hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. Orlando Kiliz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eloy Carlomagno in the 35th minute of play. After 43rd play minutes Edgardo Xacintu shot 1-1, a short shot which went by Bartolo Blai and just under the crossbar into goal. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When Esther's Edgardo Xacintu in the 57th minute got a chance for a shot 57th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Toba's goalie prevented a goal. Osvaldo Ponciano hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. The supporters of Esther booed when Toba was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Filomeno Ignatius didn't get a good kick on the ball. 65 minutes into the match, Toba's goal looked a bit too open when Edgardo Xacintu came free, but Bartolo Blai reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bartolo Blai stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Edgardo Xacintu's shot from short distance in the 69th minute. When Eloy Carlomagno came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Toba fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eloy Carlomagno couldn't finish the play. Eloy Carlomagno fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Orlando Kiliz having to interfere. Denis Gombal's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bartolo Blai read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 78th minute of play. 79 minutes into the match, Toba's goal looked a bit too open when Denis Gombal came free, but Bartolo Blai reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
