With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nestor Tajo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Isidro Firman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Ismael Hondo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Efrain Eron sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Panaholma AFC getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Isidro Firman hit a great ball. Constantino Mero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Nestor Tajo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fabio Sayvion's shot from short distance in the 25th minute. If Constantino Mero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Isidro Firman in the 31st minute of play forced Cuipán AFC's goalkeeper Ismael Hondo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Cuipán AFC's Fabio Sayvion in the 33rd minute got a chance for a shot 33rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Panaholma AFC's goalie prevented a goal. Enrique Lopes charged in rather forcefully in the 37th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Enrique Lopes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The supporters of Cuipán AFC booed when Panaholma AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edelmiro Jerrald didn't get a good kick on the ball. 60 minutes into the match, Isidro Firman had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ismael Hondo. Cuipán AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Isidro Firman was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Nestor Tajo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fabio Sayvion, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. When Panaholma AFC's Efrain Eron in the 66th minute got a chance for a shot 66th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Cuipán AFC's Fabio Sayvion got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
