Fernando Dominic sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Varela AFC getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Baltasar Duardo hit a great ball. Cipoletti AFC's Jacinto Galoer couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 13th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Varela AFC. In the 15th minute, Hermengildo Joachim fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Zacarias Chago recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Flavio Gonza took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hermengildo Joachim, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Igor Iago recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 24th minute Igor Iago shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Baldomero Ixaka saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Igor Iago fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Baldomero Ixaka having to interfere. Cipoletti AFC's Baldomero Ixaka played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Igor Iago in the 30th minute of play. Baldomero Ixaka showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Igor Iago in the 31st minute of the match. In the 34thth minute of the game Hermengildo Joachim who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Varela AFC's Flavio Gonza was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Zacarias Chago's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Flavio Gonza read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 35th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Varela AFC's Baltasar Duardo got a free kick in the 36th minute. Baltasar Duardo's late challenge caught a Cipoletti AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Baltasar Duardo helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Cipoletti AFC booed when Varela AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Baltasar Duardo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Zacarias Chago sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Flavio Gonza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hermengildo Joachim in the 47th minute of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Hermengildo Joachim blasted a shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Flavio Gonza having to make a save. Varela AFC's Flavio Gonza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hermengildo Joachim in the 54th minute of play. Hermengildo Joachim received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Flavio Gonza tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fernando Dominic could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 61st minute of the match, but Baldomero Ixaka made a huge save. In the 71st match minute, Varela AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bruno Lucado to maneuver through the defense. Hermengildo Joachim sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Varela AFC's zone, Sergio Boni stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Flavio Gonza came out of the goal and Sergio Boni tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Hermengildo Joachim's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Flavio Gonza read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 83rd minute of play. After 94 played minutes Varela AFC got a freekick which was hit by Carmelo Bento. If Jacinto Galoer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. For all the effort they put into the match, the Varela AFC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Cipoletti AFC.
