Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Blas Calixto made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bernardino Javiar in the 12th minute. Laureano Fernendo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emanuel Umbruso, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. In the 21st minute, Emanuel Umbruso ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Laureano Fernendo was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. 26 minutes into the match, Pueblo's goal looked a bit too open when Feliciano Tonio came free, but Laureano Fernendo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Emanuel Umbruso to make the kick off. In the 54th minute Froilan Lucian shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Blas Calixto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Pueblo's Filiberto Criston got a free kick in the 59th minute. If Bernardino Javiar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 64th minute, one of Chamicó FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Chamicó FC. Froilan Lucian received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Blas Calixto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Feliciano Tonio got free with Laureano Fernendo in the 72nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gavino Cordarius's late challenge caught a Pueblo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gavino Cordarius helped the player get up and apologised. In the 76th minute, Gavino Cordarius hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 78 minutes into the match, Pueblo's Froilan Lucian sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Blas Calixto narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 79 minutes, Godofredo Ranolfo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Chamicó FC and the Pueblo players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 80 played minutes Chamicó FC got a freekick which was hit by Godofredo Ranolfo. A very good chance. Laureano Fernendo was out of position in the 95 minute of play, and Emanuel Umbruso capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Emanuel Umbruso really showed his touch with that goal: 1-3. The Pueblo manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Chamicó FC to win.
