Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Anselmo Froylan got the match started through his kick off. The supporters of Gualeguay AFC booed when Lapataia FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Natalio Federigo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Anselmo Froylan scored 0-1 in the 5th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ulises Elia, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcos Salamon in the 14th minute of play forced Gualeguay AFC's goalkeeper Rigoberto Berasko to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 16th minute the ball was on its way in behind Lapataia FC's goalkeeper Ulises Elia, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Felipe Filipo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rigoberto Berasko having to interfere. After 32 minutes, Aurelio Tulio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Gualeguay AFC and the Lapataia FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 32nd match minute, Gualeguay AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aurelio Tulio to maneuver through the defense. In the 38th minute Anselmo Froylan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ulises Elia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 43 minutes into the match, Gualeguay AFC's goalkeeper Rigoberto Berasko had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Felipe Filipo. Marcos Salamon recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The Lapataia FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Gualeguay AFC were winning 0-1.

The wind increased when Marcos Salamon made the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Gualeguay AFC booed when Lapataia FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Manuel Garikoitz didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roque Orlo in the 57th minute of play forced Lapataia FC's goalkeeper Ulises Elia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lapataia FC's Felipe Filipo got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 61st match minute, Gualeguay AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aurelio Tulio to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Roque Orlo got free with Ulises Elia in the 64th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 1-1 became the score in the 65th minute when Marcos Salamon elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Thanks to some nice moves Roque Orlo could shoot a difficult shot in the 69th minute, which Ulises Elia however easily saved by the left post. In the 78th minute, Roque Orlo made a precise shot to the right of Ulises Elia. Lapataia FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. In the 82nd minute Felipe Filipo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rigoberto Berasko saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ulises Elia made a fantastic save in the 85th minute, when Roque Orlo sent off a good shot on target. After a defensive mix-up in Lapataia FC's zone, Roque Orlo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ulises Elia came out of the goal and Roque Orlo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. During the 88th minute of the match Manuel Garikoitz completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Manuel Garikoitz a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 89th minute, Manuel Garikoitz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Anselmo Froylan took the ball and in the 90 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ulises Elia. Ulises Elia dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Lapataia FC lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
