A collision led to Malligasta getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Higinio Gaitano hit a great ball. After some careless play in the Malligasta defense, Celso Ladio kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Arnaldo Eron. The Malligasta fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Arnaldo Eron should have stopped the shot. Vinicio Serafo hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. Benigno Oro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ramiro Formerio having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Alvaro Roldan's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Arnaldo Eron was relentless in the 18th minute of the game. 23 minutes into the match, Malligasta's Benigno Oro sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ramiro Formerio narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Malligasta's Christian Marko got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The attack was good, but when Alvaro Roldan in the 33rd minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. A collision led to Corpen AFC getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Celso Ladio hit a great ball. The supporters of Corpen AFC booed when Malligasta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Salvador Nabar didn't get a good kick on the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

After a defensive mix-up in Corpen AFC's zone, Christian Marko stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ramiro Formerio came out of the goal and Christian Marko tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Arnaldo Eron made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alvaro Roldan in the 67th minute of play. 68 minutes into the game, Flavio Dino was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Corpen AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Malligasta the free kick. In the 72nd minute Alvaro Roldan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnaldo Eron saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Celso Ladio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Arnaldo Eron dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Corpen AFC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Malligasta had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
