Salvador Nabar might have been able to make a better finish in the 7th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Erasmo Eztebe. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Salvador Nabar ran back to his position shaking his head. Benigno Oro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benigno Oro in the 11th minute of play forced Charqui's goalkeeper Erasmo Eztebe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 16th minute, Christian Marko made a precise shot to the right of Erasmo Eztebe. Charqui's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. In the 19th minute, Christian Marko got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Christian Marko might have been able to make a better finish in the 24th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Erasmo Eztebe. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Christian Marko ran back to his position shaking his head. If Silvestre Rey had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Malligasta's Arnaldo Eron played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ricardo Loreto in the 30th minute of play. Silvestre Rey fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arnaldo Eron having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Charqui's zone, Christian Marko stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Erasmo Eztebe came out of the goal and Christian Marko tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 38th minute, Benigno Oro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Rigoberto Leocadio fell near the penalty area in the 45th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Malligasta's protests and gave Rigoberto Leocadio a yellow card for diving instead. In a very dangerous position, a player in Malligasta fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 44th minute. Penalty! The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.
The wind increased when Silvestre Rey made the kick off in the second half. Ricardo Loreto could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 57th minute of the match, but Arnaldo Eron made a huge save. After having played for 60 minutes, Christian Marko managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Malligasta's supporters crossed their fingers, but Christian Marko was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Silvestre Rey's late challenge caught a Malligasta's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Silvestre Rey helped the player get up and apologised. Benigno Oro got in the 64th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Erasmo Eztebe handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. Arnaldo Eron showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Silvestre Rey, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. Arnaldo Eron acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 71st minute, took the ball on the long shot from Rodrigo Vachon. Christian Marko recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Erasmo Eztebe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Benigno Oro in the 81st minute of the match. If Christian Marko had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpected shot in the 92nd minute by Ricardo Loreto got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Christian Marko sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Arnaldo Eron showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Silvestre Rey, who was totally free with the ball in the 98th minute. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Malligasta had played much better football throughout.
