The supporters of Lincoln FC booed when Corbett AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Placido Cerilo didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 14 played minutes, Lincoln FC's Amado Seber shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Fabricio Claus came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Lincoln FC reached it. Paulino Olando took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 15th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Fabricio Claus. Corbett AFC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 17th minute, Placido Cerilo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 22 played minutes Corbett AFC got a freekick which was hit by Placido Cerilo. If Constantino Tauro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 30 minutes into the match, Constantino Tauro notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Corbett AFC's Fabricio Claus. Fabricio Claus was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Juan Ur in the 36th minute of play forced Lincoln FC's goalkeeper Eugenio Orlanda to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fabricio Claus showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Santiago Iyan in the 37th minute of the match. Placido Cerilo charged in rather forcefully in the 39th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Placido Cerilo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 39 played minutes Corbett AFC got a freekick which was hit by Placido Cerilo. In the 43rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Corbett AFC's goalkeeper Fabricio Claus, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Bernardino Jesco scored 0-2 in the 47th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Fabricio Claus, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Juan Ur stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute, Placido Cerilo made a precise shot to the right of Eugenio Orlanda. Lincoln FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Constantino Tauro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Fabricio Claus tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Santiago Ganix's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Eugenio Orlanda read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 63rd minute of play. 72 minutes into the match, Lincoln FC's goal looked a bit too open when Juan Ur came free, but Eugenio Orlanda reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Corbett AFC's Juan Ur got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Santiago Ganix fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eugenio Orlanda having to interfere. 82 minutes into the match, Lincoln FC's goal looked a bit too open when Juan Ur came free, but Eugenio Orlanda reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 82 played minutes Lincoln FC got a freekick which was hit by Bernardino Jesco. Eugenio Orlanda took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Juan Ur, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Juan Ur blasted a shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Eugenio Orlanda having to make a save. Santiago Iyan scored 1-3 in the 89th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Fabricio Claus, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Santiago Iyan struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Fabricio Claus didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lincoln FC. The Lincoln FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
