A very good chance. 11 minutes into the match, Luisiana's goal looked a bit too open when Nestor Chesus came free, but Flavio Francho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Orlando Etxatxu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Virgilio Sal, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Flavio Francho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gregorio Ofelio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Virgilio Sal in the 26th minute of play forced Corrientes FC's goalkeeper Orlando Etxatxu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 28th minute Virgilio Sal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Orlando Etxatxu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Orlando Etxatxu was out of position in the 38 minute of play, and Virgilio Sal capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Virgilio Sal really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Virgilio Sal struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Orlando Etxatxu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Luisiana. Orlando Etxatxu made a fantastic save in the 45th minute, when Isidro Abella sent off a good shot on target. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Miguel Oxarra hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. In the 87th match minute, Corrientes FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Martin Emesto to maneuver through the defense. Isidro Abella sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gregorio Ofelio got a fine position in front of goal ttaking advantage of the opportunity to rumble in 2-2 in the right cross in the 94th match minute before Flavio Francho had time to react. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
