After 21 played minutes, Yofré's Genaro Egoitz shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Eriberto Berriotxoa came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Yofré reached it. Paulo Delfino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Prudencio Romildo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Luis Goito tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eriberto Berriotxoa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Isidro Playo in the 35th minute of play. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Prudencio Romildo made a kick off. Luis Goito stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Vinicio Lando's shot from short distance in the 54th minute. After having played for 60 minutes, Vinicio Lando managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Perú AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vinicio Lando was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 96th minute, Yofré's Alvaro Savion seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Alvaro Savion the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Yofré protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Alvaro Savion had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 96th minute, one of Yofré:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Yofré. In the 99th minute there was a penalty for Perú AFC. Teobaldo Marino stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Luis Goito. 1-1.
