Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Domingos Ferdinand started the match with the kick off. Alonzo Eneas's late challenge caught a Gálvez's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alonzo Eneas helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Gálvez booed when Atahualpa AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alonzo Eneas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Celestino Rami took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Martin Guib, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Gálvez getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Ramon Lidon hit a great ball. When the match had gone on for 10 minutes, Denis Edur put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Celestino Rami. In the 13th minute, Jorge Eutropio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Domingos Ferdinand fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arnulfo Matxin having to interfere. After 24 played minutes Gálvez got a freekick which was hit by Anastasio Fliz. An unexpectedly hard shot by Domingos Ferdinand in the 27th minute of play forced Atahualpa AFC's goalkeeper Arnulfo Matxin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Denis Edur blasted a shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Celestino Rami having to make a save. After a rather tough play, Atahualpa AFC's Cristo Frans got a free kick in the 35th minute. Domingos Ferdinand fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arnulfo Matxin having to interfere. Arnulfo Matxin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Domingos Ferdinand in the 42nd minute of the match. 46 minutes into the match, Atahualpa AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Domingos Ferdinand came free, but Arnulfo Matxin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Paolo Cordaro hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. 48 minutes into the match, Gálvez's Froilan Romelio broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The wind increased when Denis Edur made the kick off in the second half. If Isaac Boniel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Atahualpa AFC's zone, Domingos Ferdinand stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arnulfo Matxin came out of the goal and Domingos Ferdinand tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 57 minutes into the game, Gálvez's Isaac Boniel nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Arnulfo Matxin made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Arnulfo Matxin didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Domingos Ferdinand went, in the 67th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. Arnulfo Matxin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Domingos Ferdinand, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Martin Guib kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Isaac Boniel in the 74th minute of play forced Atahualpa AFC's goalkeeper Arnulfo Matxin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 78 minutes into the match, Atahualpa AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Domingos Ferdinand came free, but Arnulfo Matxin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Domingos Ferdinand received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Arnulfo Matxin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 83 minutes into the game, Gálvez's Domingos Ferdinand nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Arnulfo Matxin made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. Gálvez's Christian Maria got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Martin Guib had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 95th minute Domingos Ferdinand shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnulfo Matxin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gálvez's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
