But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Arturo Sabino couldn't finish the play. After having played for 10 minutes, Raimundo Feliz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sorocayense FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Raimundo Feliz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Cochequingán's Gregorio Santo got a free kick in the 11th minute. When Arturo Sabino came up free with the goalie in the 12th minute, the Sorocayense FC fans jumped to their feet. Agustin Mendiko showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Raimundo Feliz in the 15th minute of the match. Santo Beltran sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Sorocayense FC's Leopoldo Cheche got control of the ball when Wilfredo Anaya tried to sneak it across the goal line. Cochequingán's Agustin Mendiko played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alfonso Xabel in the 49th minute of play. After the first half Sorocayense FC were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Raimundo Feliz was the one to do the kick off. Cochequingán's Agustin Mendiko proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 61st minute of the match, managed to save Cochequingán from getting a goal against them. Sorocayense FC's Leopoldo Cheche played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Santo Beltran in the 62nd minute of play. Leopoldo Cheche made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wilfredo Anaya in the 67th minute of play. In the 70th minute, Raimundo Feliz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Arturo Sabino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Agustin Mendiko tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 75th minute of the match, Raimundo Feliz tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Agustin Mendiko saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Leopoldo Cheche stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Santo Beltran's shot from short distance in the 85th minute. Leopoldo Cheche showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Santo Beltran, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. The Sorocayense FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
