Sorocayense FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Raimundo Feliz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Bartolo Lapurdi fell near the penalty area in the 9th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Icaño's protests and gave Bartolo Lapurdi a yellow card for diving instead. In the 9th minute, Bartolo Lapurdi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 10 minutes, Arturo Sabino managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sorocayense FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Arturo Sabino was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Siro Cordaro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arturo Sabino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alfonso Xabel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Siro Cordaro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arturo Sabino, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Siro Cordaro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Raimundo Feliz in the 27th minute of play. Icaño's Cleto Frans got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Arturo Sabino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Raimundo Feliz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Siro Cordaro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 43rd minute, Cleto Frans reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Leopoldo Cheche. The goal made the score 1-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Raimundo Feliz made a kick off. Bartolo Lapurdi might have been able to make a better finish in the 51st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Leopoldo Cheche. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Bartolo Lapurdi ran back to his position shaking his head. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alfonso Xabel during the 53rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 53rd minute, Alfonso Xabel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Arturo Sabino came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Sorocayense FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Arturo Sabino couldn't finish the play. Raimundo Feliz struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Siro Cordaro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sorocayense FC. Cleto Frans sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Urbano Kaiet sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Sorocayense FC booed when Icaño was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bartolo Lapurdi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice moves Arturo Sabino could shoot a difficult shot in the 74th minute, which Siro Cordaro however easily saved by the left post. Raimundo Feliz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Siro Cordaro having to interfere. Icaño's Siro Cordaro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Raimundo Feliz in the 80th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 84th minute, Arturo Sabino managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sorocayense FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Arturo Sabino was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Siro Cordaro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Icaño booed when Sorocayense FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joaquin Dantel didn't get a good kick on the ball. Aquilino Dorio missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 89 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Leopoldo Cheche right hand side. Cleto Frans received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Leopoldo Cheche tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
