Carmelo Estevez kicked well hit freekick during the 2nd minute of the match. Tapebicuá AFC were awarded a corner in the 5th minute after Verna's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Ruben Tercero took the corner. After taking down the ball on Tapebicuá AFC's corner Ruben Tercero fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Victorio Honrio quite easily take care of the ball. Hernan Elorri fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benedicto Gau having to interfere. After 10 played minutes Tapebicuá AFC got a freekick which was hit by Melquiades Rafel. Hernan Elorri struck a weak shot in the 12th minute. Benedicto Gau didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Verna. A collision led to Tapebicuá AFC getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Roberto Dimo hit a great ball. Victorio Honrio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hernan Enaut in the 17th minute of the match. Victorio Honrio was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 28th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Ruben Tercero. A collision led to Verna getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Bernardino Garcia hit a great ball. Hernan Enaut sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Benedicto Gau showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ramon Balendin, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. After having played for 47 minutes, Hernan Enaut managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tapebicuá AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hernan Enaut was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

After 51 played minutes Verna got a freekick which was hit by Bernardino Garcia. Hernan Enaut succeeded in the game's 57th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-0. Victorio Honrio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hernan Enaut in the 66th minute of play. Aldo Txema fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Victorio Honrio having to interfere. Victorio Honrio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hernan Enaut, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. Esteve Gabino's late challenge caught a Tapebicuá AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tapebicuá AFC's Benedicto Gau played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ramon Balendin in the 91st minute of play. For all the effort they put into the match, the Verna players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Tapebicuá AFC.
