Pablo Boniel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Daniel Turi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 20 minutes into the match, Yacuchirí's goal looked a bit too open when Pablo Boniel came free, but Augusto Iliana reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Godfredo Gomesano's late challenge caught a Yacuchirí's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Godfredo Gomesano helped the player get up and apologised. After 25 played minutes Galvez got a freekick which was hit by Godfredo Gomesano. In the 26th minute of the match Eloy Costante sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Hugo Gaspard skillfully saved the ball. Pascual Caitano struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Augusto Iliana didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Galvez. Pablo Boniel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Augusto Iliana having to interfere. Galvez's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Augusto Iliana didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Pablo Boniel went, in the 47th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. After the first half Galvez were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The supporters of Galvez booed when Yacuchirí was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nunez Aresti didn't get a good kick on the ball. 59 minutes into the match, Yacuchirí's goalkeeper Augusto Iliana had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Pascual Caitano. 65 minutes into the game, Flavio Rocendo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Hugo Gaspard was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Augusto Iliana showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pablo Boniel in the 70th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pablo Boniel in the 74th minute of play forced Yacuchirí's goalkeeper Augusto Iliana to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 77 minutes, Alberto Ortle mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Galvez and the Yacuchirí players grew even worse after the yellow card. Alberto Ortle hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. When Flavio Rocendo came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the Yacuchirí fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Flavio Rocendo couldn't finish the play. After having played for 84 minutes, Pablo Boniel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Galvez's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pablo Boniel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Galvez's Pablo Boniel got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Eloy Costante during the 88th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The audience was convinced that Pablo Boniel's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Augusto Iliana was relentless in the 92nd minute of the game. Flavio Rocendo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hugo Gaspard having to interfere. The Yacuchirí support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
