The audience thought a goal was coming when Silvio Pierres got free with Braulio Rutenio in the 27th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Zeledon Sidro fell near the penalty area in the 29th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Urdinarrain's protests and gave Zeledon Sidro a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Urdinarrain's Zeledon Sidro got a free kick in the 29th minute. Prudencio Heli recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. The audience was convinced that Laureano Jayvier's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ubaldo Igon was relentless in the 46th minute of the game. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Cesar Mitxel to strike the kick off in the second half. The referee felt a red card was in order, 53 minutes into the game, when German Tebaldo put in a rough tackle. In a very dangerous position, a player in Cachiñal AFC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 52nd minute. Penalty! In the 59th minute, Amador Eztebe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 59 minutes into the match, Urdinarrain's Enrique Vincente broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Silvio Pierres managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cachiñal AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Silvio Pierres was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Braulio Rutenio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Enrique Vincente hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. 93 minutes into the game, Amador Eztebe was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cachiñal AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Urdinarrain the free kick. In the 93rd match minute, Cachiñal AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Amador Eztebe to maneuver through the defense. In the 96th match minute, Urdinarrain was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Damaso Napier to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Prudencio Heli in the 97th minute of play forced Urdinarrain's goalkeeper Braulio Rutenio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 98 minutes into the match, Silvio Pierres notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Urdinarrain's Braulio Rutenio. Braulio Rutenio was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
