With a left leg Martin Gonsalvo saved Vargas AFC from getting behind. After 15 minutes, Teodoro Euloxu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Vargas AFC and the Misión FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 15th match minute, Vargas AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Teodoro Euloxu to maneuver through the defense. Armando Lordi struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Martin Gonsalvo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Misión FC. Eriberto Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlos Henrico having to interfere. 23 minutes into the game, Vargas AFC's Eriberto Sancho nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. After 46 minutes of play, Misión FC's Geronimo Gorbea made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Martin Gonsalvo was left in no man's land by his defense there!

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Eriberto Sancho to make the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Misión FC's goal looked a bit too open when Eriberto Sancho came free, but Carlos Henrico reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. David Aurre received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. In the 79th minute, Geronimo Gorbea got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 83 minutes into the match, Misión FC's goal looked a bit too open when Vladimiro Goi came free, but Carlos Henrico reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 88 minutes into the match, Misión FC's Geronimo Gorbea sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Martin Gonsalvo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Eriberto Sancho came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Vargas AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eriberto Sancho couldn't finish the play. If David Aurre had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
