The wind increased when Anselmo Chucho made the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, David Aurre managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vargas AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but David Aurre was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aquiles Bernard breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Eriberto Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aquiles Bernard having to interfere. Hermengildo Matxin hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. Aquiles Bernard showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from David Aurre, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. The audience was convinced that Eriberto Sancho's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Aquiles Bernard was relentless in the 91st minute of the game. Aquiles Bernard took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from David Aurre, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
