After a defensive mix-up in Pozancón AFC's zone, Higinio Ursino stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Paulino Gomesano came out of the goal and Higinio Ursino tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Paulino Gomesano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Higinio Ursino in the 23rd minute of play. Christian Locaio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Serafin Intxixu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Osvaldo Rio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Osvaldo Rio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pozancón AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Osvaldo Rio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Serafin Intxixu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Virgilio Tiniebra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 98th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
