After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Aquilino Peruanton managed to get in a good position for a shot. Atamisqui AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Aquilino Peruanton was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Carmelo Manilan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Atamisqui AFC's zone, Ruben Tipi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Freddy Medero came out of the goal and Ruben Tipi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ruben Tipi in the 28th minute of play forced Atamisqui AFC's goalkeeper Freddy Medero to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 29th minute, Alvaro Argider ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Freddy Medero was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. One of Caroya FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Atamisqui AFC:s goal. When Melchor Tajo came up free with the goalie in the 99th minute, the Atamisqui AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Melchor Tajo couldn't finish the play. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Atamisqui AFC players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
