Agustin Venerando showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Urbano Amato, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. In the 15th minute, Paz's Rafael Toribio dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. When Esteban Galeno came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the Thea AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Esteban Galeno couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Paz getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Rolando Herauso hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rafael Toribio in the 26th minute of play forced Thea AFC's goalkeeper Delmiro Elizardo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Thea AFC getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Ricardo Derwin hit a great ball. In the 43rd minute Esteban Galeno shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Agustin Venerando saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 46 minutes into the game, Marcos Quinto cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Delmiro Elizardo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rafael Toribio stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Rafael Toribio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Delmiro Elizardo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marcos Quinto struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Delmiro Elizardo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Paz. Thea AFC's Urbano Amato got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 64 played minutes Thea AFC got a freekick which was hit by Ricardo Derwin. 69 minutes into the match, Thea AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Rafael Toribio came free, but Delmiro Elizardo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Marcos Quinto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 76 played minutes Thea AFC got a freekick which was hit by Freddy Guillelme. In the 77th match minute, Paz was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcos Quinto to maneuver through the defense. Rafael Toribio scored 3-0 in the 80th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Delmiro Elizardo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The supporters of Thea AFC booed when Paz was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Justino Oton didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Paz's Agustin Venerando got control of the ball when Esteban Galeno tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Urbano Amato had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Urbano Amato struck a weak shot in the 97th minute. Agustin Venerando didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Thea AFC. Thea AFC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
