With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fernando Peter in the 21st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fausto Naldo saved Pocoy AFC from getting behind. Fernando Peter fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fausto Naldo having to interfere. Cienaguillas's Fernando Peter got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Fausto Naldo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fernando Peter, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Casimiro Roderigo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 36 minutes, Rene Quentin mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cienaguillas and the Pocoy AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Fausto Naldo guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in.
