Timoteo Illan took the ball and in the 19 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Carolo Tristan. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lisandro Lauro couldn't finish the play. Marco Iztal kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. After having played for 49 minutes, Arnoldo Virila managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cafayate's supporters crossed their fingers, but Arnoldo Virila was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Prudencio Tono was the one to do the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Timoteo Illan got free with Carolo Tristan in the 73rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Lisandro Lauro came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the Cafayate fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lisandro Lauro couldn't finish the play. Leandro Restu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arnoldo Virila, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Lisandro Lauro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cafayate's supporters rose to their feet, but Lisandro Lauro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Leandro Restu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Urbano's Timoteo Illan got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jonathan Beremundo charged in rather forcefully in the 90th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jonathan Beremundo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play.
