Jimeno Alonso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nestor Euloxu in the 3rd minute of the match. Gaspar Cutberto struck a weak shot in the 5th minute. Jimeno Alonso didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tacuarendí. If Gualterio Refugio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 9 minutes into the match, Saladas's goal looked a bit too open when Gualterio Refugio came free, but Jimeno Alonso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 11th minute, Gualterio Refugio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Saladas's Nicasio Guerau got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Nicasio Guerau sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jimeno Alonso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gualterio Refugio in the 27th minute of the match. After 30 played minutes Saladas got a freekick which was hit by Florentino Umbruso. Jimeno Alonso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gualterio Refugio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nicasio Guerau recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a little luck, Tacuarendí's Alejo Donostia got control of the ball when Nicasio Guerau tried to sneak it across the goal line. Fernan Criston fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alejo Donostia having to interfere. Gualterio Refugio kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gualterio Refugio to make the kick off. If Fernan Criston had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 57th minute, Tacuarendí's Gualterio Refugio dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-2. Nicasio Guerau sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Fernan Criston had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 66th minute Fernan Criston shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alejo Donostia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In a very dangerous position, a player in Tacuarendí fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 71st minute. Penalty! The referee gave Saladas a penalty, 73 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Efrain Xabier, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Tacuarendí's Alejo Donostia. 1-2. Gualterio Refugio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jimeno Alonso having to interfere. Gabriel Calisto charged in rather forcefully in the 82nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gabriel Calisto the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Gualterio Refugio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jimeno Alonso having to interfere. Jimeno Alonso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gualterio Refugio, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. When Nicasio Guerau came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Saladas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nicasio Guerau couldn't finish the play. The Tacuarendí supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Tacuarendí would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
