Emiliano Oliveiro might have been able to make a better finish in the 5th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cosme Ostadar. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Emiliano Oliveiro ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 14th minute, Ciriaco Pasqual hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 17 minutes into the match, Rosas's goal looked a bit too open when Ciriaco Pasqual came free, but Martin Viator reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Eustacio Gorbea fell near the penalty area in the 42nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Nieves's protests and gave Eustacio Gorbea a yellow card for diving instead. Melchor Mon could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 43rd minute of the match, but Cosme Ostadar made a huge save. 48 minutes into the match, Rosas's Silvano Naike sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cosme Ostadar narrowly saved just below the crossbar.
