The referee gave Eulalio Abeijon a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. 3-1 became the score in the 84th minute when Ariel Nikola elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. A collision led to Barreal getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Fidel Estevez hit a great ball. If Gilberto Celio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. When Enrique Musko came up free with the goalie in the 98th minute, the Quebrachitos fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Enrique Musko couldn't finish the play.
