Amadeo Oskitz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Salvador Jago in the 3rd minute. Cuevas's Saul Sal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leo Petri in the 5th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Tala FC's Jesus Oihenarte got a free kick in the 6th minute. When Jesus Oihenarte fell near the penalty area in the 13th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tala FC's protests and gave Jesus Oihenarte a yellow card for diving instead. In the 13th match minute, Tala FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jesus Oihenarte to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 16 minutes, Salvador Jago managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cuevas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Salvador Jago was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Amadeo Oskitz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fernan Min's shot from short distance in the 17th minute. Fernan Min received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Amadeo Oskitz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 20th match minute, Cuevas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ruben Rojelio to maneuver through the defense. Adrian Raymundo, 21 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Gilberto Harkaitz kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. After 28 played minutes Cuevas got a freekick which was hit by Amado Camerino. If Urbano Rodriguez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Cuevas's zone, Leo Petri stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Saul Sal came out of the goal and Leo Petri tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 39th minute, Fernan Min reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Amadeo Oskitz. The goal made the score 1-0. Urbano Rodriguez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Saul Sal having to interfere. If Urbano Rodriguez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

In the 52ndth minute of the game Salvador Jago who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Tala FC's Amadeo Oskitz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The supporters of Tala FC booed when Cuevas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edelmiro Beturian didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 61 played minutes Cuevas got a freekick which was hit by Gilberto Harkaitz. Cuevas's Saul Sal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Urbano Rodriguez in the 66th minute of play. Leo Petri's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 72ndth minute, Saul Sal skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After a rather tough play, Tala FC's Evaristo Emeterio got a free kick in the 74th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fernan Min in the 76th minute of play forced Tala FC's goalkeeper Amadeo Oskitz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Salvador Jago came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the Cuevas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Salvador Jago couldn't finish the play. In the 83rd minute, Urbano Rodriguez got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Cuevas's zone, Urbano Rodriguez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Saul Sal came out of the goal and Urbano Rodriguez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Amado Camerino charged in rather forcefully in the 92nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Amado Camerino the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Tala FC booed when Cuevas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Amado Camerino didn't get a good kick on the ball. Salvador Jago fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amadeo Oskitz having to interfere. Cuevas's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
